COVID 19 Updates

Covid 19 – Dental Surgery Updates

We are open and continue to operate. We do however continue to work under strict guidance as set out to us by the Welsh Government and Chief Dental Officer for Wales.

Access to appointments remains limited, and we are continuing to prioritise appointments for patients who have had their treatments delayed due to COVID 19 and patients who require urgent dental care.

In addition, we are now beginning to recall some patients for their routine check ups. Although these patients are those with the greatest dental need. This means that in line with ‘NICE’ guidelines each patient is recalled at either 3,6,9,12, or 24 month periods depending on their individual need. This recall period is decided at your check up appointment by your Dentist, and  you will be advised of this at the time. With this in mind we will be prioritising those patients that need to be seen most frequently first.

When we have further availability for examinations then we will contact you.

Please do not contact the practice at this time for examinations unless you have been contacted by us.

The phone lines remain extremely busy, and we can only apologise if you are experiencing difficulty getting through to us. Our phone system does however allow you to leave a voicemail, and as soon as a member of the team is free, we will get back to you. Alternatively, you may wish to contact us by email. Should you wish to do so, our email address is as follows..

contact@newportdental.co.uk

Please do not turn up at the practice without speaking with a member of the team by telephone first. All calls will be triaged.

If you are NOT a patient of our practice and need a URGENT dental appointment then please contact the Dental Helpline 01633 744387.
